Oakvale Homes, definately not distinctive in detail.

Recently, we have been abondoned by the builder, however a litany of serious defiencies are outstanding. A represenative of Travelers Guarantee is scheduled to meet with me this week. I am sure they will minimize they're responsibilities for our claims. As they have done so well in the past. The builder and Travelers Guarantee Home Warranty have so far caused unmentionable stress to my family.

Eroding exterior concrete surfaces, globally throughout property. Extreme floor joist deflection; main living floor. Collapsing support structures for suspended slab. Major crack to foundation wall. Illegal construction of wall, serving plumbing and electrical networks. Several interior and exterior workmanship defects. Incomplete construction. Unannounced constructional changes; reduction of bedroom ceiling height by 2 feet.
Many areas damaged in the house by trades during construction. Several construction defects. Problem is, we are still waiting for this damage to be repaired, such as and are not limitted to, our front entry wood finished door, where 16 out of 17 window panes of glass were scratched. Multiple scratches to wood door finish. Outside patio railing scratched in several areas. Multiple exterior paint striker or splatters, and the list goes on. Finished ceiling upgrade, as of most upgrades extremely expensive, but not to standard. Definately not distinctive in detail.
Customer service pre and post completion is very substandard. Multiple deficiencies never attended to. Still waiting for several deficiencies to be completed following possesion 20 months ago. The builder is unresponsive to multiple correspondances. The company is on its third customer service team since our possesion. The most recent, is extremely confrontational and unreceptive to customer feedback.
The customer sevice rep has a very bad temper, is unpredicable, and as of his most recent outburst, cannot be trusted around my houshold or family.
Several claims have been filed with the home warranty company, who has failed to commit to the accepted claims. They continue to rely on the builder to complete the repairs. The home warranty company conducts itself in a conflict of interest with the builder. The home warranty company has ruled on several walk through deficincies, declining these claims. The builder uses these responses to avoid commitment to our walk-through deficiencies. The pattern is obvious with us, and other purchasers.
