Pacesetter is an example of all the things wrong with a community builder

Builder displays a total disregard for customer service and client care... No testimonials available for obvious reasons... Poor example of a community builder

Pacesetter (or as I call them... "Pacesucker" Homes) Customer "Dis-Service"

Completely disregarded warranty service reports for 3-months & 1 year as provided by Pacesetter Homes. Builder failed to repair stair squeaks and poor installation (landing/framing gaps as large as 1/4"). Builder claimed that the concrete pour day had no precipitation which it did... Told me that I should accept the poor finishing of the concrete because their sub-contractors hired ex-convicts? Exterior trim paint had little more than 1 coat of paint with most of the paint barely covering the trim components. Good thing I was handy and able to fix most of the deficiencies myself with the exception of the concrete problems. Frankly, I've had better customer service when purchasing items worth less than $10... C'mon... get your act together

Pacesetter has offered the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. Their complete lack of competence to complete any work in a timely manner showed over and over during my build. The company's quotations on offering the customer exceptional and oustanding service, are as far from the truth as you can get. This is the 2nd summer in the house, and the grading is still incomplete. Various issues still outstanding. My front porch looks like it was put together in the dark. I am missing handrail for the front steps which is 7 rise...clearly a safety hazard. They have been emailed regarding this, but just like usual, you get no response. I'm missing fascia at various spots around the house. The siding looks like they may have tacked the J trim every 4 ft or so. Can't wait for this to start falling off too. The fascia around the house looks wavy and loose. Poor cuts, flashing very noticeable under it. Siding left with mud all over it. Drywall in the garage at the underside of the bonus room incomplete. Lino lifting various spots. Caulking incomplete throughout the house. The paint job that was done looks absolutely terrible. I'd be very surprised if there was 2 coats of paint completed. The tape job is cracking in many spots throughout, again, I'd be surprised if there was 2 coats of mud applied. Thank god that there has been no water leaks, because I could not handle the stress and amount of time and frustration that it would take to get the work completed. Basically, bottom line is I would not recommend pacestter to anybody. They have complete disregard for you and do not seem to care about ensuring that you are happy with anything they do for you. Pacesetter is for from what their name stands for!

Lack of service and quality.

Problems since day one, with everything from the unacceptable length of time from sale to actual move-in date almost 2 years, extreme lack of quality and workmanship in all building aspects of the home. Pacesetter does not care or fix problems properly, many things are still not fixed or done after almost 3 years. We do not recommend.

Mrs

AT the possession date, we walked thru the home with the site supervisor of Brintnell and he completed the pre-occupancy report, it stated there few items need to be fixed, one of the problem is our eating bar need to be adjusted and edge tape panel on side cabinet. Our possession date is Dec 30, 2005. So it's been 1.5 years. Even after one year I filed one year service but it seems like they never care of my complain, I have to keep phoning them about this problem. But it seems like this problem never been resolved, When I called their service department, one of the lady there told me that they will phone Canac Kitchen (subcontractor) but the service department never get back to me on how their discussion, end up I have to call Canac Kitchen and Canac Kitchen send somebody to my house from the Manufacturing company and that guy look at the problem and told me he will discuss with Canac Kitchen and get back to me. Same story he never get back to me and I have to phone him to ask when my eating bar is going to be fixed, and he told me I have to phone my builder again to discuss this. I am so tired with all this game, they treated me like a ball and my eating bar until now never been fixed.
