BE FOREWARNED!!!

This builder should be avoided at all cost. The closing dates were continually missed and were adjusted 4 times. The last time they informed us of a delay, the notification was not provided to us on time and we had already given notice to our landlord that we would be vacating the property. This caused us further complications. Once we were in the home, apart from being excited to take possession, we were extremely disatisfied with the quality of the finishes and the general state of the home. The hardwood looked as if it was purchased at a barn sale, The stairs were rough and appeared to have been finished by a grade 4 student who found a piece of 40 grit sandpaper and then varnised the stairs with lepages glue mixed with honey using said sandpaper. Light switches were painted over. The paint in general was disgusting and I think the same grade 4 student may have painted the walls. Our upgraded travertine tiles in the kitchen had been scratched on 90% of the entire tiled floor. Our kitchen cabinets were not made to the specifications we provided the builder, and the vent hole for our range hood was put in the wrong place. Yet the site super argued with me that I was mistaken and the home was built to our exact specs. They could never admit they were wrong. To top things off...any time a skilled labourer came to the house to fix a defect, they casued more damage to the surrounding areas, such as denting and scratching my expensive stainless steel stove, for which the builder offered me nothing more than an apology. These people should not be in the home building business. The labour they hire are the least skilled Ihave seen and they take no pride in what they do, and...have NO REGARD for protecting or caring for your personal property. Save your money and look for a more reputable builder...these guys probably won't last much longer at the rate they are angering the home owners in our neighbourhood. I should have gone with Fieldgate!!!
