I would never build a new home with them again.They are too slow to answer call backs for warranty issues.There were alot of mistakes made to the home that new home owners would not know about.They will upgrade everything because it is more money for them but when it has to be fixed forget it.You'll be waiting till dooms day to have anything fixed.

This has the be the worst company to deal with. No one answers the phone except for the sales people (of course they want to sell you a home!), the receoptionist (becsause it's her job) and the woman who does the "upgrades" (because that means more $$ for them. Anything requiring service or customer service will be left unanswered for God knows how long. We have sent emails that have gone unanswered for 3 weeks plus... sign of a committed builder (NOT). We have left voice messages for a call back but instead receive an emailed response... pretty classy builder (NOT) We have been in our home for over a year now and things pointed out in our walk through still need fixing. We have been given different conflicting to our inquiries from oh we have called the tradespeople to come look at this issue to oh we will send out a serviceman to look at it issues. Well which is it? It is amazing that a company like Ventura can operate in such a crappy manner and still be in business. Buyer beware!

I would never ever build with Ventura again.

We built a house with them recently, and our service was very good. It was our first home and I must say they guided us through step by step. I must admit there was very hitches along the way, which was expected. But overall, we were pleased with our home and timely service after possession

There were so many miscommunications internally at their head office. things were being done incorrectly on our house. Also, watch how they price things! We moved into our house a month ago and problems that we saw during the walk thru still haven't been looked at. Right now we have a double car garage with no concrete floor because they say that's seasonal! We've had to rent a storage shed for all of our stuff that costs $250 a month because we can't put anything in the garage or put a shed in our yard because the grading hasn't been done either. Ventura stated they will not pay for our storage rental.

There was a huge lack of communication from them during the building process. It was like pulling teeth just to get some info about the building progress. The staff are difficult to contact and didn't return the calls until weeks after. We built last year, and we still don't have our stucco and final grading done(10 months and waiting).

This is our very first home and very first build... We started out looking at show homes all over the city. All of the other show homes we looked at did not compare. We haven't really heard anything about Ventura, but (sales) made us feel very comfortable and reassuring that building with Ventura will not disappoint. From the very beginning back in April 2005 to our posession 2 days before Christmas 2005 and to this date, we are very, very pleased with our decision to go with Ventura. From (Sales) to (Production Mgr) to (Site Supervisor) to (Admin) to (GM) to(Service) and to all of the contractors and service guys, they were all great, courteous and very professional. Blueprints & productions schedules were promptly given to us. Upgrade choices were plenty... Prices for upgrades were very reasonable compared to some other builders. Standard specifications were of high grade and quality (why some builders don't have "lined" toilets as standard is unreal in today's standards). We also appreciate the fact that Ventura allowed us to run our own computer network cablings... A very big thank you for that! At possession there were a few minor dents and dings, but that was instantly taken care during the walkthru... Now today after about 3 month of residing in our new Ventura home no major issues... The service guy came today to take care of some sticky doors and basically was only here for 15 mintues and corrected the problem... I can go on and on with my expericene with Ventura, but I'll stop it short here... But not without saying that we HIGHLY RECOMMENED building with VENTURA CUSTOM HOMES!

It's quite a pleasant experience building a house with Ventura. Starting with the realtor team who were happily going out of their way to accommodate our needs most of the time. All our enquiries during the building process had been responded courteously and in a timely manner. 3 days late for the proposed completion which was absolutely fine. Quality and craftmanship and style are all presence in the home. That does not mean error free. Things were overlooked and missed which could be easily identified thru more thorough inspections during production. After possession problems were addressed promptly... But if these mishaps can be spotted out & fixed before possession, less after-service requirements, less hassle for the home owner after move in is even better. Overall, 90% of the time, we feel like the happy face on Ventura's sold sign.

I'm glad we built with Ventura. The staff at all levels were very professional and accommodating towards our requests. Communications between myself and head office were timely. If it wasn't for the cabinet factory having an accident, my home would have been completed 2 weeks in advance. I've not seen the builder ratings before we decided to build, but now I can relate to the high ratings that Ventura shows in the chart. My family now have three new homes built by Ventura. Thanks again Ventura Team! It was a pleasure dealing with you.
