Western Living Homes - The Right Choice

I was over all very pleased with Western Living. The craftsman they use are all local and have been in business for many years. Our cabinets (C & B Woodcrafts) are beautiful. They did an awesome job with the walnut. Alot of things that came with our builder were major upgrade for others. Lori Elms was awesome as well. I don't know what out house would have looked like with out her. I would recommend Western Living to anyone thinking of building. I have listened to other people in the neighborhood that have gone with other builders and they have had nothing but problems during the building stage and even after they have moved in. I am so glad we made the right choice. Thank you Western Living Homes!

Western Living Homes-A cutom builder

Our home was finished 1.5 years ago, so I had the time to evaluate the builder, the warranty and the overall experience. The builder finished our home ahead of time. We dealt with the owner directly, that's why we got such a great price on the home and the community of our dreams. The process was pretty easy, the choices that we had for the house were "whatever you like" as WLH is a custom builder, u come to him with an idea and they will go off of your idea. This builder is like any other builder, same type of finish, a little more luxurious, but typically the same. I also feel that they put better quality material into their homes. The carpenter is EXCELLENT, it's an old men, his son and the son's daughter, and they do an excellent job. We would just come over to check up on the house and tell them what we want or don't want, and they would do whatever you like, and it was like that with all the other trades men. If you build with a master builder then we wouldn't be able to change anything at all. With WLHomes we made tones of changes, and we didn't have to go to the owner or the rep, just go to the site and tell them (unless it's something major). We got tones of stuff included in our price, where other builders would have charged you an arm and a leg. After the home was built, the warranty kicked in, whenever I had a problem either I found something with the paint or something else, the builder rep would come out to take a look at it and a tradesperson would be out to fix it. It's been 1.5years now and the warranty is finished; I noticed 2 problems (little stuff) and the rep (Daryl) came out and had it fixed for me. I think WLHomes is great and I would recommend them to anyone, in the matter of fact, my parents also got a house built with this builder. Overall, I think if you're in the market of buying a home, go with a custom builder as you get exactly what you want instead of what a master builder tells u that u need. In comparison, Mac and Mitch homes has a similar home to what we built, there were some things we didn't like with M&M design. WLHomes built the similar home with all the changes that we wanted. FYI, it's M&M largest home, I believe 2143sqft 2 storey. And we got more feature and a better deal with Western Living.

Dealt with owner directly. During negotiations, owner assured me if he got a better deal on lot he would pass this on to us. During construction, I asked if he got a break on the lot and he said no. When I got the papers after moving I saw that he did get a break on the lot and kept it for himself and he wouldn't give it back.

Our house was finished sooner then predicted, we're very happy with the builder. We had a good relationship, would definitely build with them again.
