Unsatisfied Mattamy homeowner

I didn't see a great spot to rate the quality of the workmanship. In our case, it was a mess. We should have got a real inspector in to inspect the home instead of ourselves. We had water coming in the home which is the biggest issue. The people in the decor center were useless, and have no clue about home design, lighting layout. The center itself is nice and the upgrades as well but we spent $50K on upgrades that were nowhere near worth that. We love the design of the house itself and the neighbourhood as well. I just wish the quality of the home was better and that we had better consultants in the decor center.

Mattamy is very good a fixing problems which will not cost them anything(like patching up cracks, paint fixes etc,,,) but when it comes to the REAL problems...they seem to insist there isnt one, or they lie to you. The workmanship is atrocious on these homes. I highly encourage anyone who purchases a Mattamy home to get an inspector in!

You always encounter problems with new home builders, nothing is perfect. Overall I liked Mattamy and would recommend it. I also am thinking of purchasing another Mattamy home. Their layouts are great, and their neighbourhoods speak for themselves. Overall quite happy!
