Do Not Purchase From Primont Homes!!!!!

Do Not Purchase From Primont Homes!!!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Safe your hard earned money for a builder who won't just take your money and leave you hanging!!! They DO NOT follow up on your defficiencies list whether it's your PDI, 30 DAY etc. You have to chase them non-stop or even call for Tarion's help for an reconciliation inspection! They won't complete your outstanding items UNLESS you call TARION for a reconcilliation inspeciton. DO NOT have good trades / construction workers Their workers treat the site as a garbage DUMP!! Poor customer service both site supervisor and customer representative. If they don't like to hear what you have to say, they'll just say "Don't buy a new house next time!!" They do the BARE MINIMUM to meet requirements, if that. Poor business practices and does not operate their company in good faith. Getting them to do things is like pulling teeth. Their service ppl have POOR SKILLS, they had to re-do work several times before the job was fixed properly. Many delayed closings without notice!!! WORD OF WARNING - DO NOT BUY FROM PRIMONT HOMES unless you want CLOSING HASSLES!!!!

Eagle Hills

Primont Homes purposely delayed our closing hoping that we would break the contract. When we did not break the contract, they produced a sub-standard home. Upgrades we purchased were missing, and standard items were not finished. I do not think there is a single Primont employee that told us the truth at any point. The experience of purchasing our first home was ruined... thanks Primont...

My friends laugh when I tell them that I bought my new home with two children, but I moved in with four. That is how late my builder was providing us with the home that we put a $40 grand down payment on, interest free! But, if only that was my only complaint... from installing washrooms where they shouldn't be, to NOT installing washrooms where they should have been, to putting windows in tiny closets (WHY?!?), an upper floor that is severely crooked, to installing oak stairs instead of maple, to staining it orange (it was as if they WANTED to not match the hardwood floors throughout our home) to over a year before I got a range hood in my kitchen, to windows all out of whack when they should be lined up from the outside. To crooked pillars in the front hallway and missing a supporting post in our basement. An independant engineer cannot understand how they reversed the supporting cross beams for the upper floor from the lower, and despite having a year and half to correct these and many other problems, under 10 from a list of 100 items have been addressed. This is the second new home we have purchased so I know to anticipate SOME problems, but not on a scale like this. Myself and my four young children had to leave just last week so they can sand down our maple stairs to correct the stain and lo and behold, no improvement except for sand machine swirls and markings on every step. I am a carpenter's daughter, I grew up with wood curls for toys in my hair so inconvenience when it comes to home building or renovations is nothing new to me. But this sub-par construction of a higher-end home that I paid DEARLY for the privilege of living in is beyond explanation. We worked hard for the money to pay for this home so the very least should have been applied by Primont Homes when they constructed it. We are EXTREMELY upset and are pursuing all avenues with TARION on this.
