The house is a very common design, i see about 9 of them on my drive home. It was equipped with very up to date decor, and materials were of satisfactory quality. However it has major design flaws... the stairs leading down to the basement take a 180degree turn, without enough room to manuver any form of furniture around the corner. Upon furnishing the basement, i had to construct a bed, and slide the matress through the 1'x4' window. Areas around the house, that look as if they were intended for a desk or such, are not provided with an electrical outlet. In fact all the electrical outlets are placed in illogical locations. When light switches are combined on a multiswitch panel, they were not placed in a logical order, where the furthest right switch should correspond with the light on that side of the room (theirs are a goofy pattern). However, the house is easy to heat, and uses a modest amount of monetary to do so. The walls did not experience any warping, or 'settling-in' like most of my neighbours experienced (this is due to the perma-frost ground the city is located on). On a whole, the house is good... keeps me from the elements at night. Just a few minor annoyances. I never inquired to the builder on them though, i would feel like a ninny complaining about something so minor.
