Arbitration should be private and the State should be completely out of it.

Arbitration should also be voluntary. If it can compete on its own with the civil court system, then consumers would accept and use it. And if they choose to use it, it is nobodies business.

Mandatory arbitration is a real stupid idea.

I hope this is the correct place to place this I am concerned about Tarion Warranty Corporation. I feel they are not "accountable for their action" in order to make them accountable I am requesting consumers who are interested in signing a legislative petition for Ontario demanding the Provincial Government expand the investigative scope of the Office of the Onario Ombudsman to incorporation Tarion Warranty Corp into their po rtfoilo. Reason since Tarion Warranty Corp is a private non profit company but they adminster the Ontario New Home Warranty Act their seem to be ineffective when addressing "consumer concerns". It is my opinion that Tarion is a non regulated body and based on the numerous complaints are not accountable for their action or in actions. I want Tarion to be accountable. Please comment and please direct me to the correct forum to post. Thank you
