Caution on mortgages a good move for market
The government has moved to halt some lending institutions from making available a popular form of mortgage, the 40-year, zero-down variety. Numerous Calgary communities need a deeper shade of green, a report coming to a city committee next week says. A study into city-wide open space coming before the community and protective services committee on Wednesday suggests 17 communities, mostly inner city, lack sufficient park space while five others are at risk if they continue to grow.
