Home loan approvals drop nearly 70 per cent
Approvals for new home loans in Britain fell by almost 70 per cent to just 36,000 in June compared to the same month last year, when 115,000 loans were approved, the Bank of England said yesterday - more evidence of Britain's collapsed housing boom.
