BUYER BEWARE. Beware of Douglas Tamlyn, developer of Falcon Ridge Estates and builder of defective houses. Never trust this builder. He lies and will do nothing for you after he gets your money. He is reckless in his construction methods and has no quality control. I bought a home from this thug to my misfortune. My new home has become a $100,000 nightmare and has taken two years of my life. Builder in trying to repair my home caused further damage. This builder is careless. What he has done to me and my family no home owner should have to go through. Fortunately I discovered the problems within the first year of my new home warranty. The AHWP limit is $50,000 of the damages.

When you deal with your new home warranty program be relentless and demand what is rightfully yours. I'm still working through the mess the builder made of my home with the AHWP and hope to have it settled soon after a year of hell.

Before buying a new home have it thoroughly inspected and demand all engineering reports and papers from the builder. Do your due diligence and research. If the builder refuses to provide proper documentation or says he doesn't have any reports walk away. Don't let a builder pull the wool over your eyes. I'm in the process of repairing my home I purchased from Tamlyn. It would be very helpful to readers if I could upload some pictures to show just how careless,ignorant, and insensitive Douglas Tamlyn is. Douglas Tamlyn is only interested in taking your money with absolutely no after sales service. This builder is now building without a warranty to protect the buyer. The buyer is completely on his/her own. The AHWP gave me a cheque for $50,000 and said, "I hope this helps with the defects Tamlyn sold you." This builder lies and gave me bogus reports. Tamlyn is now being sued by the AHWP.

I'm repairing and rebuilding my house using accepted and proper building methods. Douglas Tamlyn is less than a man; he is self serviing, disrespectful, greedy, uneducated in proper building methods, has no membership in building associations or warranty, takes no responsibility, and only cares about himself. Douglas Tamlyn failed in the health profession and now he is failing at home building and blames others for his poor judgement, stupidity, and untested, unsound building methods.
